As well as creating unique couture bridal and bespoke wear, I am a bridal and tailoring alterations specialist. I take on a limited number of bridal and prom alterations each year, including redesigns and complex alterations such as complete reconstruction, adding straps or sleeves, changing the neckline of your dress, fitting your lapel and collar to your chest, expanding the dress/suit/occasional wear seamlessly or sizing it down several clothing sizes.
Locally I am praised for my reconstruction abilities, making dresses, high end suits previous damage invisible, making the impossible, possible with alterations which are both appropriate and respectful to the original garment and its construction, ensuring that it looks untouched, like it was made to fit you perfectly. I also offer the personal service of making items including boleros, handkerchiefs, stoles, sashes, veils shoe bows, corsages, etc.
However my alterations service is not limited to the above, I also offer everyday clothing alterations, curtain alterations, zip replacements, prom dress alterations, bridesmaids and the tiniest of jobs such as replacing buttons, hooks and eyes…please enquire for more information.
At Megh Da Miny Bespoke, all requests are respected and appreciated, and no job is too silly or too small. Kaya will do her utmost best to fit you in and boost you with the confidence you need to feel you best, stitch by stitch. In the event Kaya cannot personally fit you in, Kaya will recommend a trusted friend and professional in the trade to help you.
In some circumstances and depending on availability, Kaya offers a priority turnaround additional to her standard, however this is subject to an additional charge and dependent on current availability around other work commitments.
