Alterations Terms & Conditions

Fittings:

• All those requiring a fitting must bring suitable underwear they plan to wear with their garments which can change the fit of their garments.
• It is requested that you bring your own hangers and garment bags.
• It is absolutely ESSENTIAL that all clients bring their exact shoes and any underwear being worn with their garment to all of their fitting appointments. Attending without shoes and correct underwear will unfortunately mean a reschedule and an interim will be compulsory.
• Measurements and fit will be taken and confirmed with the client assuring you are completely happy. At this stage if you are planning to diet or change shape, get pregnant  you must make Kaya aware as more fits may be required to ensure the perfect fit.
• Clients are politely asked to make themselves available for all fittings, alterations and collections when reasonably required, BRIDAL should be prepared to attend at least THREE fittings (initial, interim and final/collection). Kaya will ask for your availability and to make her aware of any holidays or days you can’t do and will do her best to schedule fits within the days of the week specified as possible.
• Bridal interim fits (midway to the lead to the wedding) and collections (a few weeks before the wedding) will be roughly outlined so clients can be readily available.
• Failure or Refusal to attend the interim fit as strongly recommended is at the clients own risk, no responsibility or liability will be taken in respect of any change in body shape or weight from original measurements taken in the circumstance.

Payments:

• Clients are required to pay a non-refundable deposit for a booking for bridal, prom, bridesmaids, mother of bride/groom or extensive suit alterations i.e groom/groomsmen. This gets deducted off of your alterations costs if you wish to go ahead.
• All alterations over the cost of £40 are required to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit, plus the coverage of costs for any additional fabric required.
• No goods may be removed from the premises until full payment has been made on or prior to collection.

Disclaimers:

• A through check of your garments on arrival of first fit will be done and if there is any damage or marks on your garment prior to handover of the garments, this will be noted and you will be made aware. If there was need for any extra repairs to those identified Kaya can add this according to your preference.
• Advice taken is at the customers own risk and personal choice.
• Alterations which are taking in or letting out more than recommended amount which could adversely affect the style and shape is completely at the clients own risk, Kaya cannot be held responsible if deemed unsatisfactory after completion, for any decisions made about the alteration of any garment, if the client has requested this.
• All alterations are completed to exact measurements taken, additionally discussed during, after fitting and agreed by client. Responsibility for incorrect fit cannot be taken by Kaya due to weight fluctuations, change of mind, shape-wear, undergarments or shoes.
• Collection of garments without a fit check is at the clients own risk and no responsibility will be taken. Further alterations will not be guaranteed. Fittings on collection are compulsory.
